The Spring Festival is the most grand and important traditional festival of the Chinese nation. At the beginning of the new year, with a vivid and colorful brush, it depicts a scene of vigorous vitality and renewal of all things, showcasing the thriving spirit and beautiful vision of Chinese civilization.
The customs and activities celebrating the new year are diverse and colorful. From the Laba Festival, Little New Year, New Year's Eve, Spring Festival, to the Lantern Festival, various New Year's customs unfold like a grand drama, expressing the ancient wish for harmony between heaven and man, and the coexistence and nurturing of all things. It nourishes the virtues of kindness, respect, harmony, and peace, inspires a spirit of striving for progress and reaching new heights, and showcases the pursuit of benevolence, people-oriented, integrity, justice, harmony, and unity in the moment of transition between the old and the new, engraved in the passage of time.
In December 2024, "Spring Festival - Social Practice of Chinese People Celebrating Traditional New Year" was included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. On this occasion, a Spring Festival-themed exhibition is held to showcase the representative intangible cultural heritage projects related to the Spring Festival through artistic presentation. No matter where you come from, you can feel the taste of home here, and the Spring Festival showcases the trustworthy, lovely, and respectable image of the Chinese nation.
