Founded in 1904,Fuliancheng Troupeis the longest-running and most influential institution in the history of Chinese Beijing Opera education, known as the "cradle of masters" of Beijing Opera.Fuliancheng Troupehas trained many pioneering masters of Beijing Opera, including Hou Xirui, Mei Lanfang, Zhou Xinfang, Ma Lianliang, Yu Lianquan (Xiaocuihua), Tan Fuying, Qiu Shengrong, Ye Shengzhang, Ye Shenglan, Yuan Shihai, and nearly 300 famous performers and educators of Beijing Opera.Fuliancheng Troupemarked the beginning of the formalization, systematization, and scientific development of talent cultivation in Chinese Beijing Opera. For decades from the early 20th century to the founding of the People's Republic of China, many theater troupes and drama schools continued to follow the Beijing Opera education system of Fuliancheng Troupe. From artistic schools to repertoire inheritance, from professional standards to talent cultivation,Fuliancheng TroupeFuliancheng Troupehas made outstanding contributions to the development of Chinese Beijing Opera, and its students have played a decisive role in inheriting and developing Beijing Opera art, making it a monument in the history of Chinese Beijing Opera.
