"Twelfth Night" is the culmination of Shakespeare's comedy creation period, and along with "The Merchant of Venice," "A Midsummer Night's Dream," and "As You Like It," it is known as one of Shakespeare's "four great comedies." Shakespeare intricately weaves together gender confusion, mistaken identities, and class satire using clever narrative techniques and festive elements, creating a comedy classic with great dramatic tension.
